Studio Terms & Conditions​

  • Personal belongings: Retreat Yoga Studio cannot accept liability for any damaged, lost or stolen personal items.

  • Your data: By creating an account on retreatyogastudio.co.uk (operated by MindBodyOnline) you are automatically opted in to receive emails or push notifications such as appointment, workshop reminders and newsletters. You can opt out of our newsletters or disable push notifications via the app at any time. To know more about how we collect, store and use your data please see our Privacy Policy.

Bookings & Cancellations

  • Bookings: Bookings can be made up to 2 weeks in advance and payment has to be provided at the time of booking. Due to the intimate nature of our studio drop in spaces are limited and priority will be given to students who book online. If you are having issues with booking online please let us know and we can book a class for you.

  • Cancellations: We operate a strict 3-hour cancellation policy for all our classes. 

    • Early cancellations: All cancellations before the cancellation window should be made via our website or app; if you paid by class pass or drop in, your class will be credited back to your account. 

    • Late cancellations: Cancellations within the 3 hour window need to be made by email to hello@retreatyogastudio.co.uk - please note that unless your place can be filled from the waiting list your booking will not be credited back to your account or refunded. 

    • Cancellation of Workshops: When cancelling a workshop we can only provide a workshop credit back to the account or transfer to an alternative event for cancellations made up to 3 days before the event date. For cancellations after that date, the credit can only be refunded if your place can be filled from the waiting list.

    • No shows: If you are on a class pass your account will be debited if you fail to show up for a booked class. If you are on an unlimited membership or unlimited intro pass and you late cancel or no-show 3 times in the period of one month, your ability to book online will be suspended for a month. No shows for workshops will not be refunded.

  • Late arrivals: Students should arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the class, allowing time to get ready and be on the mat for the class starting time. Late arrivals will usually not be allowed entry in to the class but will still be charged. If there is a waitlist for the class, spaces will be offered to waitlist students if a person is late.

Memberships & Class Passes:

  • Memberships: For monthly memberships month-to-month payments for the membership will be automatically charged to a credit card at the day of purchasing the membership. The membership can be cancelled after three months by emailing hello@retreatyogastudio.co.uk with at least 15 days notice before your next payment is due. Please note, cancellations can not be backdated and we can not refund payments if a contract is terminated after a monthly payment has been taken. Retreat Yoga Studio will provide one calendar month notice for any pricing adjustments. Memberships can be frozen for up to 30 days every 6 months by emailing the studio with at least one week's notice.

  • Class Passes: 10 class passes are valid for 4 months from the date of purchase. 5 class passes are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. 6 month unlimited memberships are paid fully upfront and valid for 6 months from date of purchase.

Health & Injuries: 

  • I accept that neither the instructor, nor Retreat Yoga Studio is liable for any injury, or damages to person, resulting from the taking of a class.

  • It is the responsibility of the student to inform the teacher of any injuries or changes in health at the start of class. I understand that yoga is not a substitute for medical attention and that I should consult a medical professional prior to beginning any activity programme such as yoga. 

  • If at any time during the class, I feel discomfort or strain, I will come out of the posture and notify the instructor. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body, and respect its limits on any given day. 

  • Surgical procedures: It is the responsibility of the student to inform the teacher of any operations or surgical procedures in the past six months. Teachers have the right to refer students back to their GP. If you would like to discuss any health issues prior to starting a yoga practice please contact hello@retreatyogastudio.co.uk

  • Pregnant or post-partum clients: Students who are pregnant or have given birth within the last three months must inform the teacher at the start of class.
